Waiotoi – The Bush Hideaway

The cabin is surrounded by a thick cloak of Manuka which covers the hillsides, giving you a beautiful view out onto the canopy, and beyond, towards the South Pacific. Just admire the natural beauty of the coast, through the bush to Matapouri, it’s a slice of paradise, and a rewarding experience.

The cabin encapsulates many unique features that serve as a point of reflection of the heritage of this place, and as a representation of the surroundings.
The first of those features is the yellow exterior represents the fine sands of the beaches of the coast. Beneath the yellow walls, is a generous deck, which spans towards the bush, allowing you to view the canopy and the surrounding hills.

Behind the yellow walls, the cabin comprises of many wooden features which represent the nature around the Tutukaka Coast but also instills a feeling of minimalism.
The wooden features are made of Macrocarpa, a tree that is prominent on the coast, especially in grasslands.
